About this course

This course is for any users of the PowerPlan Fixed Assets and Projects module who wish to deepen their level of understanding of the Charge Repository. Attendees will gain an overview of the CR structure, functionality and benefits. Templates for creating manual CR Journals, as well as how to import Journal Entries from a file are discussed. Attendees will examine the CR Cancellation process of creating and posting Journal Entries to move charges when a Work Order is cancelled. CR Security for Companies, Derivation Types, and Budget Versions will also be covered, as well as the set up of CR AnyQueries. We finish up with exercises to help you view these concepts from a more practical view.

Objectives:

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Describe the functionality of PowerPlan's Charge Repository
  • Create and save a template to use to build a CR Manual Journal
  • Demonstrate the CR Cancellation process and how to move cancelled charges from the Work Order
  • Summarize the CR Security process
  • Create CR AnyQueries

Prerequisites: Attending the Fundamentals of PowerPlan Fixed Assets and Projects course.

Advanced Preparation: None

Program Level: Intermediate

Delivery Method: Group Internet Based/Group Live

The class on June 24, 2024 will be held virtually through Zoom from 10:00am - 3:00pm (Eastern) with a one hour break for lunch from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.

The class on October 25, 2024 will be held in person at the Atlanta office from 8:00am-12:00pm.

CPE Credits = 4 credits possible (Accounting)

In order to be awarded the full credits for the GIB training session, participants must be present the entire training session and respond to 12 polling questions ( or 3 polling questions per hour) asked during this program. Credits will be rounded down to the nearest half credit. Those attending the Group Live session will need to be present and participate the entire session.

We are unable to grant CPE credit in cases where technical difficulties preclude eligibility. CPE Program Sponsorship guidelines prohibit us from issuing credit to those not verified by the technology to have satisfied the minimum requirements listed above.
